First Edition Theme:  Beginnings

Whether it’s the first day of a semester or the start of a new program, there is something hopeful and promising about beginnings.  The first lesson plan for the first day of school sets the tone for the rest of the class.  The first student to compete in an inaugural forensics program brings a certain excitement.  The first production of a new theatre program provides a new audience to support the school.  In the first ever issue of The Journal of Applied Communication and Theatre(ACT) we celebrate our start by examining beginnings all over the state in all corners of our field.

General Note about submissions:  Please submit lesson plans and articles that connect to our theme of beginnings.  Based on the limited amount of time, and the nature of the work, all research related articles will be considered.  Research based articles do not have to be directly related to the theme of beginnings.
